Survey after survey indicates that the most important skill set for a project manager is the ability to communicate. And post project reviews for failed projects inevitably list “lack of communication” as a primary reason for failure. PMCC has mentored project teams all over the world on how to better communicate amongst themselves and with clients and other stakeholders.

Some of the ways that PMCC can promote better communication on your project teams includes:

1. Training : Better communication starts with the ability to speak the same “project language”. PMCC can provide training for staff members new to project management or that serve in a functional/operational role and who normally serve as project team members. By getting everyone on the “same page” with regards to the definitions of a project, the WBS, and other project management terms and best practices, the interaction between project team members will get better…. Quickly!

2. Mentoring/Facilitating: PMCC can provide staff to serve as facilitators for major project meetings. We can also mentor project staffs and help prepare them for project kick off meetings and other major project events.
